Ceramics coffee menu gift guide grand opening handmade new product plant shop shopkeeper Store news wedding registry workshops

Hello Everyone,

I’m Rachael, owner of Margaret + Beau Ceramics and this is my new shop, Cupboard Goods. Cupboard Goods is a brick and mortar shop located at the intersection of NE 57th and Fremont In Portland, OR where the Roseway, Cully and Beaumont-Wiltshire neighborhoods all connect. At the moment we are only open Friday’s 12-7 and Saturday’s & Sunday’s from 10-3.

We currently sell a variety of artisan goods from both local and global artisans, all who take people and the planet into the highest consideration in making their products. Most of our ceramics are wheelthrown in my studio just 10 minutes up the road in NE Portland, or from fellow local maker Petra of Sandbox ceramics. Petra has made an exclusive colorway just for our shop and we hope you’ll enjoy mixing and matching our ceramics for the perfect set. We have lots of mugs, but also, tumblers, planters, bowls, soap dishes, and plates. We always do custom dinnerware orders and now offer wedding registries as well.

We also carry specialty blown glass by the amazing team of Little Tomato Glass. Currently we have budvases, cocktail glasses and cocktail sets available.

Our baskets, brass jewelry and soapstone products are sourced from Amsha. A local woman owned company that helps support artisans of 6 manufacturers and mills throughout Kenya and Rwanda in making fair trade, ethically sourced goods from their local raw materials. The baskets have an unlimited number of uses that we’ll touch on in another blog post. A few are: plant holders, fruit and vegetable storage, and kids room organization.

Our other offerings are candles from Truly Kindred, Whiskey + Wine polymer earrings, Passage jewelry, both, Like Woah Handmade macrame, and MacraMae’s plant hangers, paintings by Maja Dluglecki, illustrations by Jamie Noel of Meanderink, cards and prints by Camille Shu, and letterpress cards from Taiga Press.

We have a rotating selection of wholebean coffee from local roaster, Terrain Coffee Project, as well as a monthly rotating international coffee roaster courtesy of our friends at Yonder Coffee. This months international roaster is Father Coffee from Johannesburg, South Africa. Through the new year we offer free cups of coffee in shop to let you taste our current offerings. Come shop and sip!

We’re in the midst of lots of updates still, but should have wine for purchase the start of November, our workshop calendar up, a date for our grand opening and extended hours, as well as a few items for purchase in the online shop- including Mug Club.

There’s plenty planned before the new year, and we hope to see you soon!
